TechReport 2024 Developer Survey: Data Shaping Turkey's Software Industry
At Techcareer.net, we have launched the 2024 edition of the TechReport Developer Survey, which we organized in 2023 to great interest, in order to better understand the dynamics of the tech sector and the expectations of developers! This survey aims to take a closer look at the career goals, industry expectations, and personal development paths of those working in or interested in the software and technology fields in Turkey.

🔹 Artificial Intelligence: Concepts, Applications, and Ethics Bootcamp Completed!
With a 16-hour intensive training program, our participants who stepped into the world of artificial intelligence gained valuable knowledge on various key topics, from fundamental concepts to ethical responsibilities. While experiencing AI through hands-on projects, they had the opportunity to make a strong start on their career journey in this field. We congratulate all our participants who worked on the fundamentals of AI, its ethical dimensions, and practical projects during this training! 😊
🔹 Pendik Municipality: Software-Focused Technology Center Bootcamp Project Presentation Live Stream Held!
In collaboration with Pendik Municipality, we successfully conducted a live stream of project presentations developed by our participants during the Software-Focused Technology Center Bootcamp. We thank all the participants who showcased their software skills and innovative solutions and contributed to this exciting process.
🔹 Luxoft Parking Hackathon Successfully Completed!
Our participants showcased their software skills in a competition where they developed algorithms based on autonomous driving technologies using C++ and Python. During the 8-hour marathon, they presented their innovative projects to the jury and achieved great success. The top participants won a 1-month hybrid/online internship at Luxoft, while also having the chance to receive mentorship from Luxoft’s experienced teams to further develop their projects.

This month’s in-person events include the "Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Professions" event, organized in collaboration with the Eastern Anatolia Development Agency, Innovan Entrepreneurship Center, and Van Yüzüncü Yıl University. Additionally, GETEK'24, taking place at Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa on December 11-12, aims to bring the latest developments in the tech world to participants.
We are talking with our guests, Havva Yüksel and Ömer Talip Akalın, who have been working for many years on organizing competitions, which have been held globally since the 1970s and have become popular in Turkey over the past 5-10 years, as well as on helping participants prepare for these competitions. We also discuss how these types of competitions benefit software developers in terms of both finding jobs and developing technical skills. Now, let's move on to the episode. Enjoy listening!
