Job Description

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture, including database administration and solutions, in a customer-facing or support role.
  • Experience architecting solutions for data transformation, migration, governance strategies, availability, or disaster recovery.
  • Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with developing data warehousing, data lakes, batch or real-time event processing, and ETL workflows solutions.
  • Experience in writing code (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C++, Scala, R, Go).
  • Experience in technical business or professional consulting in the fields of cloud computing, data, information lifecycle management, and Big Data.
  • Knowledge of Linux.
  • Understanding of Firewalls, Proxy Servers, DNS, TCP, Load Balancing, VPN, and VPC.
  • Ability to learn, understand, and work with new and emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the technology space.

You liaise with the product marketing management and engineering teams to stay on top of industry trends and devise enhancements to Google Cloud products.

In this role, you will utilize both technical aptitude and excellent communication to address all aspects of the data life cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Support local Sales teams in pursuit of key business opportunities, engaging customers to address aspects of the data lifecycle.
  • Identify business and technical requirements, conduct full technical discovery, and architect client solutions to meet gathered requirements.
  • Lead technical projects, such as technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of supporting technical resources.
  • Work directly with Google Cloud Platform products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer or partner environments.
  • Prepare and deliver product messaging in an effort to highlight the Google Cloud Platform value proposition. Travel as needed.
