We are seeking a dynamic individual with leadership abilities and a passion for database technology who will play a crucial role in shaping our database infrastructure.

What you’ll be doing…

• Lead the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of our database systems, playing a pivotal role in their architecture and functionality.
• Spearhead the design and implementation of new features and enhancements to our database infrastructure, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our organization.
• Proactively identify opportunities for database improvements and present innovative ideas to enhance our database ecosystem.
• Take ownership of database maintenance, ensuring smooth operation and performance optimization post-implementation.
• Foster an environment of continuous learning and growth within the database team, providing mentorship, training, and knowledge sharing to enhance the skills and expertise of team members.
• Collaborate closely with technical teams across different locations, fostering cross-functional knowledge sharing and skill development.
• Conduct thorough analysis of existing database projects, identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements accordingly.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand their database requirements, providing proactive support and driving actionable insights to address their needs effectively.

You’ll need to…

• Have 5+ years of experience working as a database administrator in a data-driven environment. •
• Possess deep knowledge of database management systems, with a focus on Microsoft SQL Server.
• Have strong experience in SQL query optimization and database performance tuning.
• Be proficient in database backup and recovery procedures.
• Have experience working with SSAS and cubes (both multidimensional and tabular).
• Have strong data, numeracy, and statistical analysis skills.
• Be very proficient with Excel (pivot tables, functions, macros etc)
• Be university qualified with experience working as a senior database administrator or team lead.
• Preferably have experience working with version control systems like GIT and understanding of GIT workflows.
• Preferably have experience or knowledge of additional technologies such as C#, .Net, and web application development.
• Be fluent in English – This is essential.
• Have an interest in technology and its application in various industries.
• Think clearly under pressure and be willing to learn and grow with us.
• Be eligible to live and work in Turkey.
