Apple Vision Pro is a revolutionary spatial computer that seamlessly blends digital content with your physical space. It will allow us to do the things we love in ways never before possible — all while staying connected to the people around us.

The Vision Products Group (VPG) is looking for a a software engineering project manager (EPM) to help us push the limits of the next generation of interactive experiences on our platforms. This team is working with some of Apple’s most advanced technologies including spatial computing, augmented reality (AR), and 3D rendering and simulation. As a member of our organization you will lead teams crafting features and products which will delight, inspire and empower millions of people.

Description

In this role, you will drive cross-functional programs and feature areas in spatial computing, AR and 3D rendering in visionOS and iOS. This requires partnering with engineering management to facilitate all aspects of projects: Define, schedule, prioritize, track, proactively manage and communicate status of projects.  You will lead efforts across teams representing multiple layers of the software stack as well as other cross-functional partners in areas such as human interface design, hardware, marketing, developer relations, and other organizations within and outside of Apple.  Strong written and verbal communication is key as you drive projects forward, prioritize work, facilitate the removal of obstacles and escalate risks.

Key Qualifications

• 7+ years in software program or project management role
• Prior experience and consistent track record leading and shipping multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Solid knowledge of software development practices
• Experience driving and delivering critical project features which involve integration with multiple different teams
• Passion for and proven ability to quickly understand technical concepts
• Collaboration: You are able to fit in well with a team, understand capabilities and priorities
• Ability to communicate aspects of the project and filter messaging based on the target audience
• Ability to create and execute plans in ambiguous settings
• A deeply curious mindset about new ideas
• Excellent attention to detail

Education & Experience

BS/MS in Computer Science / Engineering or relevant industry experience

Additional Requirements

Familiarity with augmented reality, real time rendering engines, 3D content creator workflows

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $178,500 and $268,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
