Front End Engineering Manager

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
• Experience with front end frameworks (e.g., AngularJS, ReactJS, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in cloud technologies and applications.
• Experience with Java, TypeScript, and Angular.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for designing, building, and optimizing responsive and elegant web applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of the front end for Google Cloud Backup and Disaster Recovery (GCBDR). Work on development of Full Stack features for the product.
• Manage and mentor a team of 9-12 engineers, building admin experience, both UI and console based, for GCBDR customers.
• Collaborate with UX, UX Researcher, Program Management, or Partner engineering teams and all key partners to build the quality experience for admins.
• Help to scale the Admin Experience team through introduction of proper processes and practices.
• Manage software engineers, including their career development and performance management.
