Job Description:

 As a Senior Java Software Developer specializing in microservices at GlobalPBX, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality microservices-based applications using Java and related technologies (spring framework, spring boot, React, etc.) . You will work closely with cross-functional teams to architect scalable and resilient microservices architectures, implement business logic, and integrate with third-party services. If you are a self-motivated software engineer with a passion for building distributed systems and delivering exceptional user experiences, we would love to have you join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable microservices-based applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
• Architect and implement RESTful APIs for communication between microservices and external clients.
• Collaborate with software architects, product managers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and design specifications for microservices architectures.
• Implement distributed system patterns such as service discovery, circuit breaking, and distributed tracing to ensure reliability and fault tolerance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and coding standards.
• Integrate microservices with databases, message brokers, caching systems, and other external services.
• Optimize application performance and scalability by implementing caching, asynchronous processing, and other optimization techniques.
• Ensure the security of microservices by implementing authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in production and testing environments, and implement solutions to address performance bottlenecks or system failures.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to streamline the CI/CD pipeline and automate deployment processes for microservices.
   

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Java development.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture principles and patterns.
• Proficiency in Java programming language and related technologies such as Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, and Maven.
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation using frameworks like Swagger or OpenAPI.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Working knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with version control systems like Git and collaborative development workflows (e.g., GitFlow).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a proactive mindset towards identifying and resolving technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ for asynchronous communication between microservices.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra for storing and retrieving data in microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, or TestNG for unit testing and integration testing of microservices.
• Understanding of DevOps principles and experience working in Agile development environments.
• Previous experience with microservices deployment and management in production environments.
